Privacy policy

Overview

This policy covers the trycaroufy.com website and the Caroufy application. It explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it, and how to get it deleted. If something here is unclear, write to us at hello@trycaroufy.com and we'll answer directly rather than pointing you back at this page.

What we collect

Account information: your name, email address, and billing details when you subscribe to a paid plan. We do not store full card numbers ourselves; that's handled by our payment processor.

Content you provide: the text, files, and URLs you submit to build a deck, along with the brand kit settings and any edits you make to individual slides. This is the content necessary for the product to function.

Usage and log data: standard technical logs (timestamps, IP address, browser type, pages requested) generated by any web server, kept for troubleshooting and abuse prevention. We do not run third-party analytics or advertising trackers on this site or in the product.

How we use it

To generate your exports, apply your brand kit, and keep your drafts available when you come back to edit them. To send account and billing emails — receipts, plan changes, and service notices. To respond when you write in for support.

We do not use the text or files you upload to train models for other customers, and we do not sell or rent personal information to third parties.

Where it's stored

Content and account data are stored with infrastructure providers that host application data and files on our behalf. We select providers under contractual confidentiality terms and don't grant them rights to use your content beyond providing the storage and compute we've asked for.

Retention

Drafts and exports are kept until you delete them or close your account. If an account is inactive for 12 months, we send a notice to the account email before removing stored drafts; account and billing records needed for tax and accounting purposes are kept for the period required by law.

Cookies

The marketing site you're reading now sets no cookies. The application sets a single session cookie to keep you signed in; it is not used for tracking or advertising and expires when you sign out or after a period of inactivity.

Your rights

You can access, export, correct, or delete your content and account data at any time from within the application, or by writing to hello@trycaroufy.com. We'll confirm deletion requests and complete them within a reasonable time, generally within 30 days.

Children

Caroufy is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll remove it.

Changes to this policy

If we make a material change, we'll update the date at the top of this page and, where the change is significant, notify account holders by email.
